Advantages of Offshore Accounts

May 6th, 2008 · No Comments · Banking

Lately, I’ve just learned that having offshore accounts is a huge advantage. It can help protect your cash assets and avoid paying larger assets. Through an offshore account your business becomes more flexible and availability of cash in different regions bring a a faster and efficient way to deal and transact money with investors from abroad and from other states. You just have to choose the best banking locations where banking guidelines are more lenient. Another advantage is that banks charge lesser fees and impose higher interest rates compared to other banks. Through it you can easily deal, receive and send money anywhere across the globe. These bank accounts are also a lot stricter and they are strict when it comes to government and privacy checks. One more thing is that it is also easy to open and maintain offshore bank accounts. This is actually implemented by a lot of huge companies and even individuals because of a lot of greater benefits. Now, discussing QROPS, this is actually used to receive and transfer values from any UK registered pension scheme. This is of great advantage for those who have protective right funds.

Applying for CDs

April 2nd, 2008 · No Comments · Certificate of Deposits, Banking

As we all know, Certificate of Deposits are issued by banks in any denomination and in a promissory note. Early withdrawal is subject to penalty. Certificate of Deposits are considered as time deposit ‘coz it limits the holders from withdrawing funds. When I applied my first certificate of deposit, I usually did not have a clear understanding. That is why I decided to ask one of my friend who already for a certificate of deposit before. From our discussion, I learned the steps on how to apply for a certificate of deposit, different interests, and terms. First thing, I did when I applied certificate of deposit, I just ask my bank that I want to get one. Considering that, I have enough money to be eligible. I got my certificate of deposit over the internet wherein I filled up the application form. I was instructed to input my personal information, contact number (so that they contact me), account options (wherein they can forward their response) confirm information (verifying the information I stated), and there is a “thank you” remark on the last part (message informing you had a successful transaction). After two business days, one of their representatives called me saying, I qualified of having certificate of deposit. Social Security Number and valid i.d. are also required when applying for certificate of deposit. In addition, based on my experience, you must have a certificate of deposit if you want your investment to be safe.

Mortgages

March 15th, 2008 · 1 Comment · Uncategorized

Mortgage Loans ae loans that are secured by real property using a legal instrument. Almost everyone dreams of having a new home but does not have any idea about mortgage loans and its types. I am one of those people who do not any idea. However, because I really wanted to have a new home, I seek advice from a friend who is a loan specialist. He told me to be always sure of the mortgages types available and gave me some tips regarding the right approach. He enumerated to me the three types of mortgages loans available: the fixed-rate mortgage loan, adjustable mortgage loan, and the hybrid mortgage loan. In the fixed-rate mortgage loan, you are given fixed interest rate for a fixed time and fixed amount. Adjustable mortgage loan, here, the interest rate is unstable. In addition, the hybrid mortgage loan is a combination of the two. Try also comparing the offers and conditions of the lenders then choose the one who has the best offer. After our conversation, I had a clear understanding about mortgage loans. That is why I will be able now to choose the right and affordable deal for my new home. Always have a strategy so that you will be able to control your loan ʽcoz your interest and fees will be controlled. And knowing your credit history would also also be a big help.

Student Loans

February 14th, 2008 · No Comments · Loans

Speaking of Student Loans, this is much a better than credit cards. Some banks are also offering private student loans. In line with this matter, I talked to some students who applied for federal student loans to seek some advice. Moreover, according to them, federal student loans are the best choice for students who will qualify. They told that federal student loans generally propose the lowest interest rates available. In addition to what they told me, they are also provided noble terms. During our conversation, I asked them the qualifications in order to apply for federal student loans. What they did before applying is that they set-up an appointment with their school financial aid counselor. The counselor offered them some advice for applying and suggested some alternative sources of aid such as school-based grants and scholarships. After that, I asked them how to qualify for federal student loans. They said, in order to be eligible, you must be a U.S. Citizen with a Social Security Number, a high school graduate with diploma, a GED Certificate, and you must be a regular student working toward a degree that is enrolled in a school that is eligible to offer federal aid. In addition, you must not have any drug convictions on your record. And after our conversation, I realized that as a borrower, we must limit ourselves from spending too much and return the excess money that we will not need. Because loans are meant to be paid.

The truth about credit cards

January 14th, 2008 · No Comments · Banking, Credit Cards

Having credit cards is flexible because there is no need for you to pay cash. Most of us have credit cards but some do not know how to use it properly. If you have credit card, you will be able to take advantage of opportunities. In addition, you must consider the possibility of being into trouble. The worst case that might happen is that, you will not be able to pay your bills. Just like my friend, he had about three credit cards. He was not able to pay his bills because he does not know how to manage his credit cards. Because whenever he is in the mall and saw something he likes, he will then immediately get that item. Moreover, by being an impulsive buyer must not have many credit cards ʽcoz they will not be able to handle them properly. As a credit card holder, you must know and understand the terms for using it so that you will enjoy the benefits of having credit cards. By being aware, you will avoid possible problems. One way to control your bills is, paying your monthly obligations on time. You must know the interest rate, annual percentage rate, due date, etc. In addition, you must also know the most important terms included in the contract. As a credit card holder, you must be cautious. So before you apply, always read the terms and conditions in the contract.

Talking about insurance

December 13th, 2007 · No Comments · Insurance

Insurance talks about insuring persons or property. A coverage by contract whereby one party agrees to guarantee another against a specified loss. That company that sells the insurance is called Insurer. There are different kinds of insurance; automobile insurance, collision insurance, comprehensive insurance, full coverage, etc. For example, in my case, I have a registered vehicle and it is insured under auto insurance, of course. As a driver, I should think wisely and carefully about how much and what kind of insurance do I really need. In addition, before purchasing insurance, I need to know first what kind of insurance is available. On my part, having a brand new car must be under full coverage ʽcoz all the basic coverage are included here. An incident happened to me a while ago, when my Ford Escape was carnapped while I am at work. The moment I know that it was carnapped, I reported it immediately to the police and to the Insurance Company where my car is insured. After the investigation and the processing of the papers regarding the insurance of my car, the Insurance Company covered all the expenses that are included in the contract. That is the good thing of having insurance.

Important things to remember: In every business, time is very important – it is GOLD. Always remember that, having a well-organized workplace will result to a more efficient, more productive, and safer production. Last month we had a seminar regarding business. Our guest speaker then started talking of the 5S Process. During the discussion, he told us that “5S” originated in Japan and it stands for five (5) Japanese words that start with the letter “S” namely: Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke. In English usage, these are: Sort, Systematize, Sweep, Standardize, and Sustain. SEIRI is the first step of the “5S” process that refers to removing all the unnecessary things/materials in the workplace. Ensuring that all left materials in the workplace are work related. SEITON is the second step, which is all about efficiency. This refers to putting everything in proper place so that it can be retrieved quickly. Third step is SESO, which refers to cleanliness. Cleaning your workplace is necessary. Fourth step is SEIKETSU, which refers to standardize way of sustaining cleanliness. This demand both personal and environmental cleanliness. The last step of 5S is SHITSUKE, which refers to discipline. It commits individual to practice the 5S daily.
